“One of the things I’ll miss most is our partnership with UKL” – a former UKL location owner reflects on their experience.

Moving house always comes with mixed emotions – excitement for what’s next, and nostalgia for the memories you leave behind. For departing location partners Ellie and Alex, that includes memories not just of the home they’re leaving, but of a truly rewarding partnership with UKL.

When the couple got in touch to let us know they were moving, they wrote:

“We’ve loved working with you all since joining UK Locations. The whole process, from the initial calls to the way you’ve represented our home, has been brilliant. You’ve been friendly, professional and supportive throughout.”

We were, of course, thrilled to hear they’d enjoyed their experience – and even happier to learn that once their renovation is complete, they plan to return as location partners in their new home.

The joy of hosting shoots

Ellie reflected on what made the experience so special:

“I’ve really enjoyed hosting shoots in my home. The teams have always been respectful, professional and considerate of the space, and it’s been fascinating to see how they transform the rooms for different projects. My favourite part is seeing it all come together in the final content once it’s published by the brands – I always find myself saying, ‘that’s my house!’”

The partnership lasted just over a year before their home was sold – and in that time, the couple’s location was chosen for numerous shoots involving big brands, including Mamas & Papas, Beaverbrooks, Christy’s and Remington.

My husband didn’t need to take on as much additional joinery work, which meant he could spend more time at home with our new daughter — something we’ll always be grateful for.”
