Gorgeous gardens for film and photography shoots

The days are getting longer, the birds are building nests and the flowers are coming into bloom. For creatives, this can only mean one thing: finding the perfect garden locations for various Spring/Summer campaigns. To save you a lot of digging (ho ho), UKL’s in-house photographer, Esther Clow, has come up with this guide to 11 of UKL’s most gorgeous gardens for film and photography shoots.

1. Dreamy waterside garden, Nottingham – location 2666

Just 30 minutes from Nottingham city centre, this idyllic shoot location features a recently landscaped and beautifully maintained garden with a summerhouse overlooking a lake.

2. English cottage garden, Leeds – location 3042

This 16th century house and connecting barn in West Yorkshire is surrounded by mature gardens with a courtyard, pond and wild field to the rear making it the perfect location for summer garden shoots.

3. Landscaped period manor gardens, West Yorkshire – location 3020

This beautiful courtyard is only one part of the garden surrounding this period home in West Yorkshire, which also includes water features, topiary, an outdoor jacuzzi, and even a small bridge.

4. Stylish contemporary garden with pool, Nottinghamshire – location 3025

With a Garden Pod, Ledge Loungers, and Crittall windows surrounding a newly installed pool, this ‘designer garden’ will elevate any outdoor brand shoot. And because it backs onto a forest, it offers numerous backgrounds to work with.

The gardens and grounds surrounding this large detached period property in Birmingham features borders filled with all the flowers you expect to see in a English country garden, along with shaped evergreen shrubs, Victorian style lamps, and a stone fountain at the centre.

6. Outdoor kitchen diner, Cheshire – location 3066

This grand design family home in Cheshire (which fans of BBC thriller, Red Rose, will recognise) features an impressive interior which seamlessly leads out to a large terrace with an outdoor kitchen and dining area, perfect for summer campaigns and outdoor shoots.

7. California-style outdoor pool, East Yorkshire – location 3048

The Minimalist, Modernist aesthetic of this ‘grand design’ style home extends beyond the interior walls, with a large concrete patio and metal and wood beams surrounding the pool, lending the whole scene an air of West Coast luxury.

8. Eclectic garden with lollipop topiary, West Midlands – location 3043

If you’re looking for a garden that’s a little out of the ordinary, this artfully styled garden near Birmingham – which also includes a chic outdoor kitchen and dining area – is definitely worth a closer look.
